Like a moron I was working for a startup. Like an even bigger moron I agreed to use my personal laptop until we got work laptops, with my personally purchased copy of MS Office. The company linked their enterprise licenses of Office to the laptop, apparently, because I've left the company and my Office programs are telling me I need a license.

The versions of Office provided by Microsoft are Retail versions, and to activate via KMS, your Office installations need to first hold a Volume License. Lucikly, both KMS_VL_ALL and MAS will convert your Office installations to Volume License before activating them.
Anything that says "lifetime license" is one of those cheap/scam key sites/sales which are either off channel/program or stolen VL keys. off channel/program (such as visual studio subs, MAPS, etc) often are purchased with stolen credit cards, as well.
Office 2021 Lifetime License. I have MS office 2016 pro which was working fine until I needed to reinstall Windows (and Office) and now the activation Key I purchased (from Amazon) won't work. I've contacted MS who have tried to help me, but the key I have just keeps expiring.
Many times these keys are found out and eventually blacklisted and revoked by Microsoft. Sometimes the keys for sale were obtained with other illegal methods such as being purchased with stolen credit cards. The cheap keys may or may not work, and even if they do, they may not work for long.
A new Windows 10 was installed on my laptop. It newly installed Windows got automatically activated. But when I tried opening MS Office suite like Word, Excel, etc it was asking for a product key. My previous windows came installed with MS Office Home and Student.
I have an old computer that's still logged into my former company's Microsoft account, to which I no longer have access. I'm trying to retrieve the full Microsoft Office product key from this setup because I need to transfer Office to my new personal computer.
