Appraisal for property tax is done one year in arrears. For tax year 2024, your appraised value will be based on the condition of your property as of October 1, 2023. We use market data from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023 to determine value.
The Appraisal Department is part of the Revenue Commissioner’s Office in Montgomery County. The department consists of the following three areas: Real Property, Business Personal Property, and Mapping.
