18 Ιαν 2019 · I’m hoping this mod is persistent through the next update of the Mouse and Keyboard Center! I imagine an update would happen when they add new models for sale so there’s a high chance the ‘IPointDevices.xml’ or ‘ITypeDevices.xml’ could be overwritten.

However, they're still supported by an older version of Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.3 on Windows 7, or the earlier version IntelliPoint 8.2 and IntelliType Pro 8.2 software on Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.

This issue might occur if the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center files got corrupted. I suggest you to place the computer in clean boot, uninstall the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center application and download and install the latest Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center application form the website and check if it helps. 29 Αυγ 2015 · Just bought a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort keyboard. I have a Arc Touch mouse, Surface edition. Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center doesn't recognize either the Microsoft keyboard or the Microsoft mouse. Despite that this software is the only driver download available for both this keyboard and this mouse.

However, when checking the context of "Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center > Support > Device information", the pop up displays values of "Unknown" in the columns of Serial Number, and Firmware Version. Question:
15 Φεβ 2018 · I’m using a Surface Pro 5 computer with the current updated Windows 10 Pro OS , and as far as I can tell the current mouse driver (I attempted to update it and received a message that indicated that I had the current version), and Mouse & Keyboard Center (again, I attempted to update it and was told that I had the current version).
29 Οκτ 2019 · I have the same issue but I am also unfortunately running Windows 10 LTSB which is probably similar to Windows 10 S mode which doesn't support mouse and keyboard center. Logging in as Admin and moving the installer to various folders didn't work and I'm locked out of the virus control panels due to local admin policies.
1 Φεβ 2024 · Open the Mouse and Keyboard Center on one of the devices that your Surface Precision Mouse is paired with. Select Smart Switch and slide the Enable Smart Switch bar to On. You should now see a list of the devices that are paired with your mouse, in the order they were paired. Please let me know how it goes and hopefully it helps. Kind regards,
