Esoteric emblems are items that can be traded in to the Emblem Trader for Bounty Hunter points that can be used to purchase rewards from the Bounty Hunter Store. A tier 1 emblem will drop on your first target kill, or it can be bought from the Bounty Hunter Store for two points.

New Mysterious Emblems work differently. Ranging from tiers 1 to 5, they can be bought and sold at the Emblem Trader for 75k, 150k, 300k, 600k, and 1.2M respectively. To upgrade a Mysterious emblem, you’ll need to kill a target who is carrying an Emblem of equal or higher tier.
So I'm trying to (very carefully) get a mysterious emblem on my ironman so I can try to get a rune pouch. So far I've managed to kill 4 or 5 targets and I haven't got an emblem drop. Is that normal? I'm not sure what the drop rate is like on these things but could use some input. Thanks!
