Since 1917, TRS has been building better tomorrows for New York City educators. TRS offers members a Tax-Deferred Annuity Program to supplement their benefits under the Qualified Pension Plan. On November 18-19, TRS will upgrade the login for the secure section of our website.
NYSTRS administers retirement, disability and death benefits for members. Eligibility depends on factors such as tier of membership, age, earnings and service credit. Most members will receive a service retirement benefit upon completion of their public service careers.
Established in 1921 by the New York State Legislature, the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS) provides retirement, disability and death benefits to eligible New York State public school teachers and administrators.
MyNYSTRS offers secure, online access to your benefit information. Whether you're nearing retirement or just starting your career, our self-service tools offer something for every member.
As a TRS member, you can take advantage of two retirement plans under one roof: first, the guaranteed plan known as the Qualified Pension Plan (QPP); and second, our popular Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA) Program.
The New York State Teachers Retirement System data, as provided by the New York State Teachers Retirement System (NYSTRS), includes names, maximum allowable benefit rates, retirement dates and last known employers when available for every individual who collected benefits.
