They will continue to make shows for other streamers and for paramount+. Budget problems are likely due to current likely temporary economic times.

It was most famously seen as a splat but it could literally shapeshift into anything, such as a circle, a bone, a cup, a cap, and of course a foot.
27 Δεκ 2023 · SpongeBob is the Mickey Mouse of Nickelodeon 💰. It’s all they play because it gets their best ratings and they’re so scared to sacrifice any of that to let other shows grow. Been this way for a long time now but it’s even more extreme recently. Even the Nicktoons channel is 99% Spongebob now.

Some state officially that a "nickelodeon" was so named as they charged a nickel for their movie prices - but that's factually incorrect. Nickelodeons charged a nickel for a grand total of 2 years, starting in 1905. They kept calling them nickelodeons though until 1915, even though they starting charging 7 cents in 1907, and a dime in 1910.
But once SpongeBob hit and hit big, Nickelodeon has been big on merchandising the crap out of that show and, now, making spinoffs that Hillenburg never would have approved. And then there’s the change in leadership. In 2018, the suits replaced Cyma Zarghami, who had stepped down, with Brian Robbins.
It sucks for nickelodeon and nicktoons tho because both are indistinguishable at this point. tl;dr nicktoons, and by extension, teen nick, have basically no personality anymore, and nicktoons is essentially indistinguishable from the main channel. Sort by: Add a Comment. Sort by:
I remember the day I saw the commercial for this show on Nickelodeon. As that 6 years old back then, I wouldn’t think this show would be my favorite animated series EVER! They don’t make good shows like this anymore.
