The North Central Plains are the southeastern reaches of the Panhandle region of the state. To the north, the Red River marks the boundary with the High Plains region and Oklahoma , while the Caprock Escarpment separates it from the Llano Estacado to the west.
25 Ιουν 2024 · Aside from Fort Worth, there are several other major cities in the North Central Plains of Texas. These include Wichita Falls, San Angelo, and Abilene. Each of these cities has its own unique charm and contributes to the overall vibrancy of the region.
The entire region varies from about 750 to 2,500 feet (200 to 750 metres) above sea level, and farming and livestock raising constitute the basic economy. In Hill Country there are small industries and recreational areas.
