7 Μαρ 2023 · Notepad for Windows 10 is the focus of my questions, and little information about it is available. It’s a distinctly different app compared to the other two. It’s less capable than NP++ but much more capable than Notepad. Unlike Notepad, it writes and edits Rich Text Files that save visual configuration information.
19 Σεπ 2024 · Since Windows 11 (or maybe earlier) Windows Notepad internally stores unsaved files so if the application (or Windows) crashes they will be still there later. For example, Notepad++ stores those temp files in: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\backup I've searched here (and searching online about this pointed me here too) :

26 Νοε 2015 · In Notepad: select from the end of a line (clicking SHIFT + Right arrow key; you can't see it, but the newline character is now selected). Now, go to "Replace" and replace with nothing. The newline characters will all be replaced with nothing.
31 Οκτ 2022 · My txt files are all messed up since notepad is not responding at all. I open a new file but after few minutes it will all goes white and crashes. I have Windows 11 and I dont experienced it on my Windows 10. Please help me I have files to open and I cant.
Consider the scenario where you have a specific string that you want to find-and-replace. You want to replace it with a new string that contains a newline character (or character sequence).
29 Απρ 2020 · I change settings a lot. Now, I think I've played with Notepad++ too much. Now how can I reset the settings ? btw, I don't want to uninstall, then install again. that's not so "superuser"-ish, right?
15 Φεβ 2014 · I had text just like OP in my notepad++, and it worked. Where it would literally say something like: Hello World.\r\nHello World. to be: Hello World With my version of Notepad++, doing the top voted answer did not fix it for me, but switching it did work for me.

24 Οκτ 2017 · This question from 4 years ago claims that Notepad++ has spell checking enabled by default. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore, as I haven't been able to find any sign of a spell check option...
