UC San Diego Health’s Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is for Newly Licensed Registered Nurses (NLRNs) hired at UC San Diego Health with less than 6 Months of RN experience. The program supports Nurse Resident attainment of knowledge, skills, and attitudes to meet standards of nursing practice relevant to their practice setting.
26 Αυγ 2024 · About the Nurse Residency Program. Program Overview. For new graduate nurses with no RN work experience. Opportunity to be hired into medical-surgical, critical care, pediatric, perioperative, emergency, and ambulatory units. Extensive one-year program with monthly didactic classes.
Program Details. Program is 16 to 32 weeks (duration dependent on department of hire) of full time employment. No Paid Time Off (PTO) will be granted during this time. No floating to other nursing units will occur during this time. unless accompanied by preceptor.
