There are 472 stations on 25 routes, spread along 665 miles of track. The subway operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
OMNY is the easiest, most flexible way to pay your subway or bus fare. You don't have to sign up or download an app; simply use your contactless credit or debit card, smartphone, wearable device, or OMNY card to tap and go. OMNY currently supports full-fare and Reduced-Fare pay-per-ride options.
New York MetroCard prices. A single ride is $2.90 and tickets are sold at vending machines. A 7-day MetroCard costs $34.00 and is a popular New York subway pass option. Some contactless bank cards can tap on and off through the OMNY system.

OMNY is the contactless fare payment system for public transportation in the New York region. Simply use your contactless credit or debit card, smart phone, wearable device, or an OMNY card to tap and go. OMNY will eventually combine fare payments and ticketing across subways, buses, paratransit, and commuter rail.
