how in the fuck is the oculus arguably the most popular and one of the most advanced headsets on earth and we can't even change the install path of the quest app on PC without doing so in a command prompt? Absurd.
12 Μαρ 2022 · Steam VR believes it's got the performance to run vr which is good but no use if I can't get this software to install. The Specs of Mac is 64GB ram M1 max with a 32core gpu. VR performance Test. This dropbox folder has screenshots of the issues i got and the modified installer that bypasses that issue but still fails to install.
I'm having the same issue in downloading the Oculus app. I thought it was changed to Meta Quest app, so I was a little confused. I hope Facebook is keeping up the PC app updated to show they are committed to it. Even though I have fast internet, I don't have the router nearby me to connect it directly and my wifi upstairs is spotty.
8 Ιουλ 2021 · Hi so I just installed the Oculus app, and ever since there has been 0 sound from my PC. The default speakers in playback settings just say that they aren't connected (this is the setting my PC is normally set to). A new audio channel has been added called "Headphones (Oculus Virtual Audio Device)", but no sound is coming from that either.
13 Ιουν 2019 · Full removal and reinstall results in hang at "Install Oculus Software" with full progress bar. Service now in "Starting" state. Manually running the OVRServer_x64.exe opens a cmd window with some debug messages, looks like it's downloading further stuff. Will leave it like this to see if the install completes.
21 Φεβ 2021 · QCheck if the game shows installed on the pc app under library if it's there Uninstall it and reboot the app. then either try installing it again without the quest 2 plugged in. If its not showing up in your oculus library at all and still won't install best shot I can think of is to reinstall the oculus pc app
9 Μαρ 2020 · 2 years later and they still haven't fixed this. I checked in my disk manager and it appears my drives that I'm trying to install oculus on are all basic and yet I still have this issue. Beyond frustrated. Meta customer support is completely useless. Help me 😵💫
23 Ιαν 2021 · Haven't had much issue with the actual game installs yet, but I did notice that the inital Oculus software install/download was incredibly slow. Strangely enough, having something else downloading at the same time seemed to actually get it to speed up to something more reasonable.
30 Ιουν 2023 · Go to the oculus app in your phone, and click on any of the app you want to launch, you will see the app running on your phone (you see the Left and Right windows), before you insert it into the headset. Then put the phone into the headset and run it as usual. The hack bypass the initial check. I only did 1 and 2, did not put icon to Home Screen.
21 Δεκ 2021 · you can not do this on oculus instaler it is not easy to change oculus app instal folder, but in general if you do not have space for oculus instal folder, it mean vr is not for you, because games need a lot of spaces and SSD to run
