If it's not, try unrar-free. Notice that unrar x <myfile> will preserve directory structure in archive, in difference with unrar e <myfile> which will flatten it. Share.

10 Απρ 2021 · Apparently unrar-free is unable to extract archives in the RAR 3.0 format. I don't know how to tell which version of RAR this archive was compressed in. How can I extract this RAR file? I don't mind paying some money if it means faster extraction - I've got 140GB of RAR files to get through.
For a series of files, you should be able to just specify the one with the .rar extension. Update - this is confirmed by wikihow: If a RAR file is broken into smaller files, they are named .rar, .r00, .r01 and so on. Point your unrar utility at the .rar file and it will automatically put the pieces back together.
Feb 18, 2014 at 10:23. Well, from the title of this topic "Extracting SFX files in Linux" I understood that it's about extracting the SFX files in Linux. If I'm not mistaken, on Windows RAR splits files into parts having the first one to be an executable (exe). I haven't tried to create SFX files on Windows and then unpack them on Linux.
