Kahakai Outrigger Canoe Club is a competitive outrigger canoe club in Long Beach, California—one of over 28 clubs in Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada, which are part of the Southern California Outrigger Racing Association (SCORA). Paddle With Us. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Since Kahakai was founded California in 1989, its male and female paddlers have competed in the world class Moloka‘i Hoe, a 41-mile race from the island of Moloka‘i to Waikiki Beach on O’ahu, and in the world’s largest outrigger canoe race in Kona, Hawai‘i, the 18-mile Queen Liliuokalani Race.

Where To Find Us. Mother’s Beach. 5865 E. Appian Way, Long Beach, CA 90803. Canoes launch from Mother’s Beach, at the paddler’s boathouse, near the Girl Scouts Sea Base.
