(1) Substance abuse services provided by a licensed psychologist functioning as a sole practicioner or by a group practice comprised only of licensed psychologists. Board regulations restrain psychologists from providing professional services unless qualified by education and training.

Licensure is based on completing a doctoral degree in psychology, passing national and state examinations, and fulfilling a postdoctoral practice requirement.
