The Para-Ordnance P14-45 (14.45) is an improved derivative of the successful United States Armed Forces' M1911 pistol. Created by Para-Ordnance (later Para USA) in the 1980s, it was the first ever M1911 derivative to feature a high-capacity double-stack magazine.

27 Δεκ 2010 · I love my Paras - currently have three. One 14-45 Limited LDA, one 14-45 "Night Ops" (or whatever they were being called), and my main carry, a P12. I have big hands, so the large double-stack grip presents no problems for me. They've all been utterly reliable and more accurate than I am. Jim D.

The Para Ordnance P14-45 is a short-recoil operated weapon. It uses a classical Browning locking system and fires with locked breech. Most Para Ordnance pistols have steel frames, however there are also versions with aluminum alloy frames.
