To celebrate Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Church, we are going to pray the Holy Spirit Novena! It is a powerful and moving novena that is meant to help us open ourselves up to the third person of the Holy Trinity.
17 Οκτ 2024 · A novena to prepare for Pentecost by asking for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. Each day, pray the intro, daily and concluding prayers, and meditate on a different gift: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear.

Though this novena can be prayed any time of year, it is traditionally prayed from the Friday after Ascension Thursday (when the Ascension is not transferred to the following Sunday) until the Saturday before Pentecost.
