The National Guidelines on Physical Activity for Ireland to support the promotion of physical activity in Ireland. These guidelines aim to: emphasise the importance of physical activity to the health of all Irish people; and outline the recommendations for physical activity for people of all ages and abilities.
12 Μαρ 2024 · We now have new National Physical Activity and Sedentary Guidelines for Ireland which can help people to make choices to increasing their physical activity levels.
1 Get Ireland Active; National Physical Activity Plan. The aim is to increase physical activity throughout the population by modifying unhealthy lifestyles and promoting awareness of the benefits of physical activity.
Increasing physical activity will help improve the health and wellbeing of people living in Ireland. Some groups of people living in Ireland may also face different barriers to accessing opportunities to be physically active.
12 Μαρ 2024 · Today, the HSE and Department of Health launch the new National Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines for Ireland, bringing Ireland in line with the World Health Organisations (WHO) recommendations on physical activity.
