8 Φεβ 2023 · A tooth numbering chart is a system used to record information about specific teeth. It helps identify and classify the condition of each tooth, facilitating communication among dental professionals and aiding in treatment planning.
For primary teeth, which are baby teeth, the system uses letters A through T. The way each tooth is given its letter is the exact same as adult teeth. The upper teeth (A-J) are given their letters from the top right, backmost tooth to the top left, backmost tooth.
The uppercase letters A through T are used for primary teeth and the numbers 1 - 32 are used for permanent teeth. The tooth designated "1" is the maxillary right third molar (" wisdom tooth ") and the count continues along the upper teeth to the left side.
Primary Teeth Numbers Chart Primary teeth are labeled with letters, A through T. Starting in the upper right to upper left and then proceeding to the lower left and ending on the lower right. Baby teeth play an important role for the adult teeth.
Learn about the 20 teeth in the primary dentition, also known as deciduous teeth, and their eruption and exfoliation dates. The teeth are named and numbered with letters from A to T in each arch of the mouth.
