5 Φεβ 2024 · Okay, so I want to download this PS2 emulator. However, as soon as I get to the moment where I'm asked to select my BIOS, the list shows up empty. Now I asked a fellow from another subreddit about how to do this. He linked me to this site called Myrient.
The PS2 Bios on the top (the mediafire link) is linked to malware. If you care enough to do a Virustotal scan, you may end up seeing that it's filled with malware. To deal with this malware, take out the hard drive (or SSD) and just buy a new one.
11 Φεβ 2023 · I followed a guide on how to install PCSX2 and the part where they mention the BIOS has me nervous. When I follow the guide and go to Romsmania to download the BIOS it does not do like in the video. It does not download instantly but links me to another site called "Appistory."
15 Ιαν 2023 · Redump/No-Intro aims to archive information in general for the sake of correctness and completeness. So a Redump BIOS pack would contain every PS2 BIOS that has been archived for the system. An emulator tends to only need one or two BIOS files to run correctly, and sometimes an emulator works better using one version of the BIOS vs another.
23 Μαΐ 2023 · Nope - but a google search will do you justice when it comes to locating bios, that’s exactly how I found my PS2 bios. For reference, you don’t need bios to play PS3 games. I actually just posted a guide to this subreddit on downloading PS3 roms, feel free to check it out! You can also DM me for more info if you have any additional questions.
20 Νοε 2022 · I have Pcsx2 downloaded and I’ve followed a few videos for guidance but the links they provided are very untrustworthy by taking me to different websites after I would click the download button for the PS2 bios. I’m aware there is supposed to be a place in the megathread that has the Bios but I am not sure which that would be.

3 Αυγ 2022 · Also, do the ps2, citra, dolphin, cemu, and yuzu emulators need bios or was that just something only necessary for emulation for console up to a certain point (ie. everything that retroarch covers) then everything later is fine without them. If so, I don't believe I saw them listed or maybe I overlooked them. Any help is appreciated, thank you

2 Ιουν 2024 · Im brand new to emulation and was just wondering if i need to download every bios file from the misc playstation 2 bios section on the megathread or if there are a handful that'll do the job. I counted it and theres almost 110 different bios files in that section and it seems like a lot to download.
