26 Αυγ 2024 · The PSA density (PSAD) is calculated at diagnosis of prostate cancer and is the serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level (ng/mL) divided by the prostate gland's volume (mL), resulting in a value in the units ng/mL 2 1.
30 Ιουλ 2024 · This PSA density calculator is an easy tool that enables you to evaluate your PSA density – a crucial indicator of prostate cancer in patients with a mildly elevated PSA. To determine the density of PSA, you will need your PSA result and the volume of your prostate or its dimensions.
The Prostate Tumor Volume & Density calculator measures prostate tumor volume and PSA density.
The PSA density (PSAD) is calculated at diagnosis of prostate cancer and is the serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level (ng/mL) divided by the prostate gland's volume (mL), resulting in a value in the units ng/mL 2 1.
To enhance the accuracy of serum PSA we have used a proportion of serum PSA and prostate volume, which we refer to as prostate-specific antigen density (PSAD). Prostate volume in this study was calculated using transrectal ultrasonography (TRUS).
26 Ιουν 2020 · This PSA density calculator determines prostate tumor volume and density to help with differential diagnosis between benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer.
17 Νοε 2020 · Jue, J. S. et al. Re-examining Prostate-specific Antigen (PSA) density: defining the optimal PSA range and patients for using PSA density to predict prostate cancer using extended template...
Serum PSA values between 0–4 ng/mL can detect 80% of the organ-confined disease, while PSA values between 4–10 ng/mL, and above 10 ng/mL were found in 70, and 50% of the cases with organ-confined disease. Serum PSA levels also provide us helpful information about lymph node involvement.
10 Σεπ 2024 · Overall, PSA sensitivity ranges from 9% to 33%, depending on age and the PSA cut-off values, indicating that up to 91% of individuals with elevated serum PSA levels do not have prostate cancer. In clinical practice, the actual risk of prostate cancer in men with an elevated PSA is roughly 30%.
PSA density. The blood level of PSA divided by the volume of the prostate gland. Some evidence suggests that this measure may be more accurate at detecting prostate cancer than the standard PSA test.
