Reciprocal teaching happens after teacher modeling. Students are in small groups monitoring comprehension applying four strategies: predicting, clarifying, questioning, and summarizing (Miller & Veatch, 2011, p. 93).

The reciprocal teaching method in some cases can provide a way to develop a specific mathematical language (Meyer, 2014), and help students for developing self-regulating skills (Lenchuk, 2021). Moreover, the use of this method is able to create an interaction-rich and diverse environment (Tarchi & Pinto, 2016).
This is achieved by encouraging a group of students to work together to construct meaning and build understanding from a range of texts. Reciprocal Teaching, as described by Palincsar and Brown, has four stages; predicting, clarifying, questioning and summarising (DEECD, 2008).
