12 Ιαν 2024 · ROCPs are a major resource in California's workforce development system to address the shortage of a highly qualified, skilled, and diverse workforce. Preparing California's youth and adults to be successful in the workforce adds to the economic well-being of California.
What is ROP? California’s new educational landscape is transforming to address the critical skills gaps facing many of the state’s high growth sectors, and to build a pipeline of talented students who are both, college and career ready.
San Gabriel Valley ROP empowers students to become confident lifelong learners and self-reliant professionals by providing equitable opportunities through rigorous career technical education. San Gabriel Valley ROP currently serves the Azusa, Baldwin Park, Charter Oak, Glendora, San Gabriel, and Walnut Valley Unified School Districts.
There are 74 ROCPs in California that serve almost 520,000 high school students and adults annually. ROCPs operate under three different governing formats: Joint Power Agreements between two or more school districts (25 ROCPs) County Board of Education (43 ROCPs) Single Districts (6 ROCPs)
The mission of the Valley Regional Occupational Program is to promote, support, and provide exemplary career technical education, career development, and workforce preparation that contributes to student academic and career success and to the economic development of California.
We are committed to providing the best hands-on learning experiences to high school, jr. high school, and adult students in North Orange County to develop skills using industry-approved curriculum that is relevant in today's economy.
