I tried countless browser's Inc chrome but rte website kept saying update browser to watch. The only one I found which worked was one called "tvbro browser" it isn't really that bad ...

Like many the new version appeared on my TV after Christmas but was downgraded days later to the older version. I've contacted the player people via twitter a few times & was first informed that they were perfecting the app & the update was coming soon.

3 Νοε 2019 · Turned out the built-in RTE player app (with the black icon) cannot be updated at all, you just need to download the new RTE Player app (red icon) and hide the old one. Clear as mud! Unfortunately I cannot see the new RTE player (red icon) in the Samsung Store to do this.
24 Μαρ 2021 · The danger for RTE was widespread use of a properly non-ad functioning version of the Player would expose them as being technically able to provide a great Player but not doing so as they wanted to fill it to the gills with lashed together ads to make it unusable.

6 Ιαν 2019 · The RTE Player stopped working on my PC (Vista) in Jan 2019. "This programme cannot be streamed due to rights restrictions." I have updated my flash player to the very latest software. Tried Microsoft IE, Firefox and Chrome. and typing the old URL redirects straight back to this. TNaG player works fine.
