In Dennis' last days, he'd made an agreement with Shawn that he could take their son Gage with him to rehab (where Gage would live in a nice house away from the center, but he would be brought to see Dennis every day), but for whatever reason, she backed out at the last minute and Dennis, who said he didn't want to go through rehab alone, backed out of going.
Dennis was always gonna be Dennis. Like some others say, he's been gone so long all these stories are now just the stuff of legend. I think Dennis at first really did just hook up with Shawn to piss off Mike (also the fact that Dennis was down with boning anything), but did come to really care for her taking away any Love connection.

This I’m not convinced of. Mike Love not being supportive obviously did not help Brian, but it is not like the rest of the boys were thrilled about the album too. Really, I think the lack of focus from Brian and his obsession to make another hit single after Good Vibrations is ultimately what killed SMiLE.

Mike: What hasn’t he done that isn’t problematic? Physically abusive to his exes. Etc. Bruce: NA. Tone death politics and voted for Trump twice. David: Beat up his wife (I edited to add some I forgot.)

They can love and support each other but realize as Alliya transitions fully into being a woman they both need something else in their life. I do not fault Shawn for this. I don’t think I would still be attracted to my partner if they came home and decided one day to change their gender. I can still love time but that would probably not work ...
Shawn is telling everyone what he thinks makes him look good. He likes demure, scared, barely legal looking boys and he isn’t going to admit that. He’s playing the game that alot of people make, which is that he’s ignoring who his partner IS in favor of who he wants them to be, and he’s getting increasingly frustrated that Aliya isn’t getting into compliance with Shawn’s thinking.
Shawn is the best looking guy in the villa so far in my opinion. He’s the best so far this season I was all for Jin but he’s playing with my emotions so I don’t even care anymore. I’m not expecting him to be waiting for me
