Sinus bradycardia fulfills the criteria for sinus rhythm but the heart rate is slower than 50 beats per minute. ECG criteria follows: Chapter content. Regular rhythm with ventricular rate slower than 50 beats per minute. P-waves with constant morphology preceding every QRS complex. P-wave is positiv in limb lead II.

The normal adult heart rate, arising from the SA node, has been considered historically to range from 60 to 100 beats per minute, with sinus bradycardia being defined as a sinus rhythm with a rate below 60 beats per minute.
Sinus rhythm (which is the normal rhythm) has the following characteristics: (1) heart rate 50–100 beats per minute; (2) P-wave precedes every QRS complex; (3) the P-wave is positive in lead II and (4) the PR interval is constant.
