You slide down the rock and land in an eight foot deep pool of water so you need to know how to swim. There's an observation bridge where you can watch everyone. I'd recommend water shoes since some of the rock areas are slippery.
Sliding Rock is a small slide-type waterfall on Looking Glass Creek, in the Pisgah National Forest, near Brevard, North Carolina. It has a gentle slope and is about 60 feet long, ending in a large, deep pool (between 6–8 feet deep) at the bottom.
Sliding Rock is located in Pisgah National Forest just north of Brevard, 7.6 miles from the junction of US Highways 64 and 276. You’re invited to “take the plunge” down a 60-foot slippery cascade into the 50-60 degree, 8-foot deep pool.
