4 Απρ 2013 · PREFER port 465 over port 587, as 465 is used for Implicit TLS for SMTP submission, which follows the recommendations in RFC8314. It recommends that "connections to Mail Submission Servers and Mail Access Servers be made using "Implicit TLS" (as defined below), in preference to connecting to the "cleartext" port and negotiating TLS using the STARTTLS command or a similar command."

In practice however, most if not all organizations and applications only choose to implement the TCP protocol.
31 Οκτ 2009 · If you don't have an SMTP server listening on port 25 then chances are you don't have a SMTP server running. Only under very customized scenarios would a SMTP server be configured to listen on a different port. The answer to you original question is "it depends". It depends on what software you're using for SMTP (on the server side).
In short, SMTP over Implict SSL port 465 requires TLS to be negotiated before connecting to the SMTP server. Rather than write a .Net SMTPS implementation I turned to a utility named Stunnel . It's a small service that will let you redirect traffic on a local port to a remote port via SSL.

The results will be a list of host names that are set up for SMTP; Linux: Open a command prompt; Type dig domain.name MX and hit enter where domain.name is the domain you are trying to find out the smtp server for. If you do not get any answers back from your dns server, there is a good chance that there isn't any SMTP Servers set up for that ...

So I added SMTP rules on EC2 instance security inbound rules see below image but SMTP port can not be editable. Now the issue is if your domain does not configure secured connections. Gmail does not offer port 25 in an unsecured connection. So, there is any way to use SMTP on unsecured connection with 25 port or any other way.
