20 Ιουλ 2010 · After the Second Coming, I understand that the Saved from the Church Age will live in the New Jerusalem while the Tribulation Saints live on earth — Jews in the Kingdom and Gentiles in the Nations. But what will happen to the unbelievers who manage to survive the Tribulation?
4 Ιαν 2022 · Jesus predicted, “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short” (Matthew 24:21–22).
Christians who act faithfully during the great tribulation may very likely be killed. If so, they will find themselves before the throne of God hearing the words, “well done my good and faithful servant”. There is no higher honor that can be bestowed upon a person.
Though we should pray and hope we are “counted worthy” to escape the intense suffering of the Great Tribulation, physical survival isn’t the ultimate goal. Standing “before the Son of Man” at His return is.
To summarize: 3½ years before Jesus’ return, a powerful leader from Europe will lead armies into Jerusalem, stop Jewish sacrifices and set up a false religious system in place of Jewish sacrifices. Jesus also warned that we will know this event is close when we “see Jerusalem surrounded by armies” (Luke 21:20).
