Technics SL-1200 [1] is a series of direct-drive turntables originally manufactured from October 1972 until 2010, and resumed in 2016, by Matsushita Electric (now Panasonic Corporation) under the brand name of Technics.

A large dynamically balanced turntable 33 cm in diameter and 1.75 kg in weight has been adopted. The tone arm uses a precision die-cast S-shaped pipe arm. Uses a one touch rack-and-pinion type for 0 balance and needle pressure adjustment. Anti-skating force control can be performed simply by setting the knob according to the needle pressure.
