11 Δεκ 2012 · Here in Pretoria, you can buy a yard with a log home on it for very similar money to just an empty yard itself, that's how little value they carry. Strange, they are highly sought after in the Western Cape, especially on steep mountain slopes, and resale prices are no different to conventional construction homes.
3 Απρ 2019 · Get it up on ramps and have a good look at it, poke it with an awl to see if it has signs of rot and termites etc. If it looks solid, I'd just give it a coat of your planned muti and get on with the rest of the work. Question 3 Please Would it be a good idea to bolt "triangles" on the square bits of the chassis for added rigidity??
In my experience termites depending on type, usually eat only dead untreated wood or dead grass (as in "Lawn"). I have not experienced termites eating growing plants. You can get sprinkle "bait" that you can put down, but I really try not to use poisons. If a bad infestation then with termites especially there is sometimes just no other way.:-\
