I've googled around tightvnc, ultravnc and tigervnc but none of these seem to work. I can only ever just see 1 screen someone has. 8 Αυγ 2010 · It:s because TightVNC server was already running as a service. Its icon doesn't show until a connection is made. If you try to run the TightVNC server program while the service is already running then thats what happens. Reason for this can also be that something else is using vnc server port (default 5900).
Things you can do to improve VNC performance, however, include lowering the display depth to 8 bits, lowering the resolution of the client screen, and using client-side bitmap caching. That means VNC has to ship less data on the wire and you'll experience better performance (but it won't look pretty). Share.
