Topsail Island's first ocean pier, the Surf City Pier, was originally built in 1948. It has been owned and operated by the Lore family since 1973. Though it has weathered many storms (some better than others), Hurricane Fran destroyed it in 1996.

24 Μαρ 2021 · Topsail Island is home to three piers, each offering pier fishing and events to the public. Starting with the northernmost pier is the Seaview Fishing Pier, up in North Topsail Beach. Centrally located in Surf City is the Surf City Ocean Pier.

Always excellent fishing at the pier. I always catch a ton of fish on gotcha plugs and diamond jigs. The people fishing on the pier are always nice.
