Introduction. The scapholunate interosseous ligament (SLIL) is the most commonly injured intercarpal ligament, which results in the most frequent pattern of carpal instability. Injuries to the scapholunate interosseous ligament typically occur after a fall on an outstretched hand (FOOSH) and affect a wide range of patients.
