9 Δεκ 2020 · True position is a GD&T callout for specifying the position of a feature. It is more correctly referred to as “position”. We use this concept in GD&T to control the variation of a specific feature from its desired position.
True Position is the total permissable variation that a feature can have from its "true" position--that is, the total variation from the position if there was no error on an ideal part. Depending on how it is called out, true position can be used in a lot of different ways.
