State Parks open reservations on a rolling nine-month basis and reservations for popular sites can fill up quickly. If you’re planning to camp at a walk-up or first-come campsite, make sure to have a backup plan in case it is full. Twenty-six Washington State Parks now also accept same-day reservations if your plans are flexible.
You can check availability and make reservations at some campgrounds by phone or online at Recreation.gov or Washington State Parks. Certain types of reservations, such as split reservations, must be made by calling the Reservation Center at 888-226-7688.
