Exit 43 provides access to the George Washington Memorial Parkway south; Exit 44 joins the Capital Beltway with SR 193 (Georgetown Pike). Like Clara Barton Parkway, George Washington Parkway straddles the Potomac River along a limited access route that is not open to commercial trucks.
