Get ready for some family fun in the sand and sun in Downtown Welch, WV, Wednesday, July 4th to celebrate Independence Day weekend! CoalTown Beach Bash festivities include family activities, games, free watermelon, bouncy houses for the kids, beach music, vendors and fireworks at 9:30 PM.

There is an annual reenactment and an annual outdoor production of Terror of the Tug - a play about the coal mining wars in WV. Held at the McArts Amphitheater at Mt View High School. Also visit Martha H Moore Riverfront Park which offers a view of the river and an amazing mural.
