26 Οκτ 2015 · The challenge was that when queried for a specific title, Wikipedia returns multiple image filenames (without path). Furthermore, the secondary search (I used the code varatis posted in this thread - thanks!) returns URLs of all images found based on the image filename that was searched, regardless of the original article title.
Here are a few different possible approaches; use whichever works for you. All my code examples below use requests for HTTP requests to the API; you can install requests with pip install requests if you have Pip.
