24 Ιουν 2018 · In essence, Wunderground is much more accurate than the NWS for current weather conditions. For example, in my case: Weather.gov's nearest weather station has a beeline distance of 4.7 miles away and it last updated 109 minutes ago. Wunderground's nearest PWS has a beeline distance of 1.5 miles away and it last updated 22 seconds ago.
14 Σεπ 2022 · Advice Requested. I recently installed an Ambient Weather WS-2000 and registered with weatherunderground. It’s been almost a week and my WU status is still offline. I entered my WU ID directly to my console. I’ve confirmed my WU ID that it’s correct but am curious how long it takes WU to change my station’s status.
26 Μαΐ 2022 · Wunderground claims to integrate their "personal weather station" data and Darksky/iOS uses some kind of AI generated forecast; neither of these techniques have yet to outperform the weather models that national governments have spent billions of dollars developing.
6 Ιαν 2020 · The general consensus seems to be AccuWeather, Carrot, and Dark Sky, though one may need to look elsewhere for a solid radar app. Appreciate the help! I like Dark Sky. The precipitation predictions are mostly accurate and very useful. Dark Sky’s precipitation notifications are almost scary in how accurate they are.
5 Μαΐ 2021 · I really missed it. I couldn't find any other radar viewer that compares. The wX app for mobile is pretty good, though (and open source). It doesn't have all the features of Wunderground's system, but it does have storm tracks albeit only on the most current frame and they don't update when playing it as a loop animation.
Weather Underground dropped support for the widget with their Nov 19 update, which also did a complete redesign of the UI. They claim that they will put back the Widget support eventually, but decided to release the app before it was done. (I also find their new UI ugly and inconvenient.) I had been using that widget for years.
I'm disabling my professional weather station from sharing to Weather Underground. From the last year of watching, everyone else in my neighborhood has installed their weather stations incorrectly and are sending bad data (most notably 10°+/- temperature inaccuracies, and up to 180° incorrect wind directions 🤦🏻♂️).

10 Μαρ 2021 · Wunderground support emailed me back saying they have quit accepting uploads from stations that use TLS 1.1 protocol. I replied with a "Really appreciate the heads-up before most of our local stations went offline" sort of message. A few days ago, my station magically reappeared online in Wunderground.
