I don't experience any drop in quality, and the whole show looks amazing. However, I don't know if it's streaming in native 4K or upscaled 1080p. I'm fairly certain that it's 4K, but I just want to be sure. Is there a way to see what resolution Netflix is currently streaming at?

To answer your question, it entirely depends on your TV's OS. There's not going to be any difference in the quality of the program itself, but it will affect your ability to navigate and features. The Xbox is my preferred interface and I use the Xbox for everything related to consumption on the television.
15 Δεκ 2021 · Last night when trying to stream Netflix and Hulu my Xbox Series X only displayed broken pixelated images. Sometimes green, sometimes grey. However it was only the shows, the rewind/pause menu was unaffected and the main menus were fine.
