If you have a Yahoo search bar extension installed on your browser, it could be causing the issue. Try disabling or removing the extension and see if that resolves the problem. If none of these solutions work, you may need to reset your Chrome settings to their default values or reinstall Chrome altogether.
4 Οκτ 2024 · Google is set as my default search engine. I have deleted all the other options except Google and Google Chrome. When I open a new tab and search either in the address bar or the search bar in the middle of the screen, my search ends up being completed by yahoo.

28 Οκτ 2020 · Sometimes, in my case at least, my default browser changed based off the fact I use McAffee. In order to change it open chrome, click the three dots in the top right, settings, search "manage search engines" and edit them to make google chrome your default again!
I use Chrome from the Internet, meaning that Google Search is my home screen, although if I use the search box, it jumps to the results in Yahoo search, driving me crazy. I have tried all the fixes and YouTube videos, but nothing has fixed it. Surely, I cannot be the only person with the issue, and the Yahoo search is shocking!
On the left, select Search engine Manage search engines and site search. To change site search shortcuts: Add: To the right of "Site search," select Add. After you fill out the text fields, select Add. Edit: To the right of a site search shortcut, select Edit. Set as default: To the right of a site search shortcut, select More Make default.
27 Ιουν 2023 · Yahoo keeps showing up even after deleting it as search engine. I have followed all advice for removing Yahoo and yet it continues to show up. I repeatedly check my settings and it is nowhere to be found, yet each time I search for something it opens in Yahoo.
