Yosemite National Park – Campgrounds & Lodging. Yosemite has a number of developed campgrounds spread out throughout the park. Upper Pines, Lower Pines, North Pines and Camp 4 are located in Yosemite Valley. All require reservations and Upper Pines is open all year. Camp 4 is for tents only (walk to from parking lot).

There are 13 campgrounds in Yosemite National Park with 1,445 total campsites. Roughly 1,000 campsites can be reserved in advance. The rest are first-come, first-served. During peak season (June, July, August) Yosemite camping can be challenging because campgrounds in the park fill up fast.

North Pines Campground in Yosemite National Park is located on the banks of the Merced River and has 81 single-family campsites for tents, trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet long). This is one of three campgrounds in Yosemite Valley.
Upper Pines Campground is the largest of three reservation campgrounds in Yosemite Valley. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire ring, food storage locker.
