I've got a single YouTube Premium account so that I can watch ad-free YouTube on my TV, I rarely use the YT Music app as I also have Spotify Family but I'm thinking of ditching that for various reasons, and moving everybody over to a YT Family plan. My main concerns are - podcasts not being integrated in the YT app.

The vast majority of youtube videos will work but some will not for example : Videos which are privated/removed Videos which are region locked Videos significantly over 10 mins (requires too much compute to run) Videos which are deemed 'innapropriate' by youtube (because this requires a login)

I HATE Spotify. I just built this YouTube app and tried LOL. I sent a ticket to Discord support. They REALLY should support YouTube Music IF they support YouTube as well. Sometimes Discord pissed me off. Carry on music lovers 🙌 ️🤟🤙

There's a web browser (like google) app called Brave, and it has cool features like built in adblockers and VPNs, but on iPhone, by pressing the 3 dots in the corner and tapping "Add to Playlist", you can add your videos to a playlist where you can then hold the video and click "Save for Offline Cache" Afaik, you can only use the playlist on iPhone.

I'm having some success cutting out most ads on a 2016 Samsung SmartTV by rejecting URLs in my modems url filtering settings, It's cut most pre roll and after ads and have skipped next through 8 videos without having a pre roll, But it's not 100% successful and adding the blacklist URLs to the filter was a chore, Yet at least the ad amount has dropped dramatically ...
