12 Αυγ 2013 · The tradition of the 12th Man at Texas A&M was born at the end of the 1921 football season. A sophomore named E. King Gill had been on the A&M football team as a backup running back, but decided he wanted to focus more on basketball.
4 Φεβ 2020 · The original 12th Man — who went on to become a physician after his graduation from Texas A&M in 1924 — passes away at his home in Rockport, Texas. He was 74 years old. A life-size bronze statue of E. King Gill is unveiled on at the north entrance of Kyle Field on March 1.
1 Σεπ 2021 · Texas A&M is celebrating The 12th Man Centennial with presentations at athletics events, a documentary, campus events, special-edition collectibles and merchandise, and more throughout the 2021-22 academic year.
