The BBC’s New Broadcasting House in central London consolidates nearly 6,000 staff members from the broadcaster’s network, which reaches a worldwide audience of more than 241 million people.
This world class facility is the iconic new home for the BBC’s network and global services in Television, Radio, News and Online. Delivering the vision of ‘One BBC’, the New Broadcasting House serves a simpler, more integrated digital service for audiences and more creative environment for staff.
Broadcasting House is the headquarters of the BBC, in Portland Place and Langham Place, London. The first radio broadcast from the building was made on 15 March 1932, and the building was officially opened two months later, on 15 May. The main building is in Art Deco style, with a facing of Portland stone over a steel frame.
Our largest project to date is the repair and refurbishment of the Grade II* listed 1930’s BBC Broadcasting House and extension to accommodate staff from BBC News, Radio, Music and the World Service.
