The Cessna Citation is a family of business jets by Cessna that started in 1972 with the entry into service of the first model. [1] . In the fifty years following the 1969 first flight, more than 7,500 Citations were delivered, forming the largest business jet fleet. [2] .

HISTORY. More than eight decades ago, a small aircraft company started in Wichita, Kan. to do what others said could not be done – to build a monoplane that used a wing without supporting struts or braces. When the CESSNA All Purpose aircraft took off August 13, 1927, the aviation world was forever changed.
