23 Ιαν 2018 · Tried a different Dell AC adapter (also 45 watt / 19.5v - same as OEM), would not work. Tried a 130 watt 19.5v Dell charger, and it works! The problem, in my opinion, is obviously a firmware / driver / BIOS issue with the Dell laptop.
29 Ιουν 2012 · There is usually a setting in the BIOS to fix this - you will have to boot to the BIOS and look around. The setting is usually about detecting power supply and to inactivate this feature. Note: Seems from searching, some versions of the BIOS don't have the ability to shut off AC Adapter detection.
