10 Φεβ 2016 · I am trying to install drivers using dpinst/Difxapp on Windows 10 x64 machine. The drivers are installed to DriversStore, but it failed to load to Device. When I use the same inf with pnpUtil or Device Manager it installed successfully.
The DPInst.exe utility from Microsoft allows you to do this, by performing a driver pre-installation. It is only officially available as part of the Windows Driver Kit (free 619MB ISO), although some creative googling might help you find it without rinsing your bandwidth so much.
When I try to install drivers that I downloaded from my laptop's brand website, It opens the driver.exe files with 7zip and when I try to extract, It keep says 'cannot extract file as archive'. I also tried to install DPisnt.exe and It says It cannot be installed on this Operating system.
