A workspace is a concept of grouping together: This happens by creating a directory and putting inside it (you don't have to do it, it's done for you) files that manage to tell Eclipse these information. All you have to do explicitly is to select the folder where these files will be placed.
23 Ιαν 2018 · I had changed the workspace path in eclipse(I do not remember the same). Recently i got my laptop re-imaged and had to install the eclipse. I am not able to get back the new workspace. i searched for the folder in the laptop. i do not find the project folder in the laptop. not sure how to get back the changed workspace.
8 Φεβ 2018 · Open a command prompt. Change to the eclipse home directory and type "eclipse -clean" e.g. C:/eclipse>eclipse -clean. This will ask for the workspace selection. It will also force to set it as the default workspace. Then, go to eclipsehome-->configuration-->settings folder. open org.eclipse.ui.de.prefs in a notepad.
2 Αυγ 2012 · With that option in place the workspace should be cleaned out. However, if you don't have a default workspace chosen, when opening up eclipse you will be prompted to choose the workspace. At this point, choose the workspace you want cleaned up. See "How to run eclipse in clean mode" and "Keeping Eclipse running clean" for more details.
6 Απρ 2017 · Go to your workspace which you wanted to open (you might have multiple workspace) .metadata folder will be there inside workspace. Delete this folder. open eclipse (just click from you desktop/taskbar/start search eclipse and click) it will open the fresh one and import all your project as existing maven project. clean and build the project.

If you've already done that, keep removing/readding your projects in a binary search manner. Go to step 3. Exit Eclipse, move back all your projects, and start it again.
For a Visual Studio 2013 Dark Theme: Combine this preferences file from eclipsecolorthemes.org (an .epf) with the built-in dark theme from Eclipse Luna. I was able to do so with the following steps: Window > General > Appearance > Theme: Dark. File > Import > General > Preferences > Browse: theme-25999.epf > Finish.
13 Δεκ 2011 · The file org.eclipse.ui.ide.prefs contains few options including the recent workspace path, and whether it will prompt you to select a workspace at the startup. Either modify the path for RECENT_WORKSPACES , or enable SHOW_WORKSPACE_SELECTION_DIALOG .
25 Οκτ 2014 · 34. In Window->Preferences->General->Startup and Shutdown->Workspaces, make sure that 'Prompt for Workspace on startup' is checked. Then close eclipse and reopen. Then you'll be prompted for a workspace to open. You can create a new workspace from that dialogue. Or File->Switch Workspace->Other... edited Mar 22, 2018 at 17:50.
5 Αυγ 2013 · 8. You can reset settings for eclipse by deleting .metadata folder from your current workspace. This will however remove all projects from your project explorer NOT workspace. So dont worry your projects have not gone anywhere. You can import projects from your workspace like this : just make sure that you uncheck "Copy project into workspace".
