I think the Feliway diffuser was helping our cat, but I developed a cough and breathing difficulty, so we had to stop using it. It doesn't just vaporize the active ingredient, but also the carrier oil.
20 Δεκ 2016 · I have asthma and can't use Feliway plug-in diffusers in my home because the carrier oil used for the chemicals adversely affected my breathing, giving me a blocked up nose and triggering an asthma attack.
I noticed they sell 3 types of feliway diffusers now: classic, multicat, and optimum. Does anybody have an opinion on the difference between them? Is the diffuser better in one vs another?
Feliway is not a scam. To put it very simply: cats use a bunch of different pheromones to mark their territory, family, etc. Feliway is a synthetic analogue of the pheromone cats use to mark a territory as "safe" (known as facial pheromone F3).
5 Οκτ 2021 · I’m not aware of any Feliway collars being on the market, certainly not here in the UK, because of the risks of self-strangulation in cats. So it seems likely that, unless there is a US variant not sold here, any “Feliway collars” you’ve found are fakes.
